REGIONAL ATTRACTION

 

KEP BEACH

Kep Beach ist about 1 km long, has some shady trees and invites for a swim. Behind the beach you find many food stalls which offer fresh seafood (Crab - the ultimate Kep dish, Prawns or squid)
There are shower and changing cabins behind the beach which can be used at a cost of USD 0.25.

   


 

TRIP TO RABBIT ISLAND (KOH TONSAY)

The trip to Rabbit Island starts with a motodup or Tuk Tuk ride to the pier where a boat brings you to the island (about 20-30 minutes). Activities on the island: swim, snorkel, eat fresh seafood, walk around the island (1.5hr) or drink fresh coconut milk.
The boat trip costs USD 15 per boat (return), the moto from Veranda to the pier is
2000-3000 Riel and around 3000 Riel by Tuk Tuk per person.

   


 

JUNGLE TREK IN KEP NATIONAL PARK

Go for a hike in the Kep National Park. See exotic birds, snakes, squirrels, monkeys, butterflies, wild dogs...
Approx 1.5hrs walk to the top, 2-3hrs around the mountain. Great panoramic views of steep valleys, gorges, plantations, Papodas, city of Kampot, Bokor Hill and the islands (Koh Tonsay, Phuc Quoc).
Start early to catch the wild life. No entrance charge, the trek start just above the parking at Veranda.

     
 

BOKOR HILL STATION & NATIONAL PARK

Bokor Hill National Park, packed with tropical forest and hidden waterfalls, is located at the southern tip of the Elephant Mountains near the Cambodia Vietnam border and is one of Cambodias largest protected natural areas. Sitting atop of 1080 meter hill is the Bokor Hill Station, a famous altitute resort druing the French Protectorate.

Price USD 15 per person by tour group, including lunch, trdekking, boat trip. Departure 7:30am (please check with our receptionist for tour in raining season)

PEPPER & FRUIT PLANTATION

Fascinating way to see the countryside. Take a side road where your guide would point out the fruit plantations lining the roads- mango, durian, citrus, cashew and pepper. At Phnom Voir, you would hear the story about captives of the Khmers Rouges. Good in combination with the caves of Kompong Trach.

TEUK CHHU RIVER

You drive or hire a moto and take a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of Teuk Chhu river. There are plenty of foodstall around which cater you for your needs.
On the way back to Kep, you can visit the well managed zoo or / and explore the nice colonial town of Kampot.

BIKE AROUND KEP

With a rented mountain bike you explore the King Sihanouk's old Palace built in the early 1990s, see abandoned colonial villas, the nice seaside boulevard and old Kep. A bit further away (50min) lies the beautiful Angkul Beach (Secret Beach) and invites for a relaxing swim.

CAVES OF KOMPONG TRACH

You will visit the limestone caves and tubes at Wat Kirisan, 5km outside town. Claimed to fame being a substantial natural cavity that's home to a reclining Buddha. The caves were created when surface depression collapsed millions of years ago. One of the most visited caves on the coast.

Good in combination with Pepper Plantation.
